Payment Methods
TeeMinder takes payment through PayPal checkout, in U.S. dollars. Here is what you can pay with, when the charge happens and what you'll see on your statement.
Accepted payment methods
Every payment on this site goes through PayPal’s checkout. Depending on what PayPal offers you at that moment, you can pay with:
- A PayPal account, using your balance or any funding source saved in it.
- A debit or credit card, typed into PayPal’s checkout pages when PayPal makes card payment available. PayPal decides when this option appears.
- PayPal Pay Later, only if PayPal shows it to you at checkout. Eligibility and repayment terms are set by PayPal, not by us.
Do I need a PayPal account?
Not always. Whether you can pay by card without signing in to PayPal depends on what PayPal offers for your country and card at that moment. If the card option doesn’t appear, PayPal will ask you to log in instead.
Who handles Pay Later?
Pay Later plans are an arrangement between you and PayPal. We’re paid for the order in full at checkout, so questions about installments, due dates or approval go to PayPal.
Payment methods we don’t accept
- Cryptocurrency
- Checks of any kind, personal or cashier’s
- Bank wires or direct transfers
- Cash, or payment on delivery
- Money orders
- Gift cards and store credit
If anyone claiming to be TeeMinder asks you to pay by one of these methods, please don’t. Our only checkout is PayPal, here on this website.
Currency
Prices on the site are in U.S. dollars (USD), and that’s the currency you’re charged in. When your PayPal account or card runs in another currency, PayPal or your card issuer converts the amount at its own rate and may add a conversion fee. That happens on their side, so we can’t see or change it.
When are you charged?
The charge happens at the moment you submit your order. There’s no delayed charge or hold to be collected later. If an order is cancelled inside the change window, or we can’t fulfil it, the money comes back as described on our Refund Policy.
Is my payment information safe?
Card details are typed on PayPal’s own pages, not on a TeeMinder form. Your card number never reaches our server, and we never see it. What PayPal sends us is a note that the payment went through, along with the name, email and shipping address we need to send your order.
The site runs over HTTPS, so the details you type here, such as your address, travel encrypted between your browser and the store.
A good habit before paying: check that the address bar shows teeminder.com, and that the PayPal window shows paypal.com.
Why was my payment declined?
We aren’t told why a payment fails; PayPal or your bank makes that decision. The usual reasons are:
- The billing address doesn’t match the one your bank has on file.
- A typo crept into the card number, expiry date or security code, or the card itself has expired.
- There isn’t enough available balance or credit.
- Your bank stopped the payment as unusual, which happens more often with purchases from another country.
- PayPal’s own risk checks flagged the transaction.
Check the details and try again, choose a different card or funding source inside PayPal, or ring your bank on the phone number printed on your card. If it still won’t go through, email us and we’ll help where we can.
After a failed attempt, some banks briefly show a pending amount even though no payment was completed. That hold is controlled by your bank and normally drops off by itself; your bank can confirm when.
Sales tax and import duties
At present, no U.S. sales tax is added at checkout. Should that change, any tax would appear as a separate line in your checkout total before payment. For orders sent outside the United States, import duties, taxes and customs fees are the recipient’s responsibility and aren’t collected at checkout. There’s more on this on Shipping & Delivery.
Refunds go back to the original method
An approved refund always returns to the PayPal account, card or funding source you paid with. After approval it typically appears within 5–10 business days, though your bank’s processing can add time. See our Refund Policy for the details.
What appears on your statement?
Your bank or card statement will list the charge as PAYPAL *TEEMINDER. Some banks shorten or reformat the name slightly. If you spot a charge you don’t recognize, search your email for a TeeMinder order confirmation first, and write to us if anything still looks off.
Billing questions
For a double charge, a refund that hasn’t arrived or any other billing question, email support@teeminder.com with your order number plus the date and amount of the charge. Please never send a card number, or a screenshot that shows one. We reply within 24 hours on business days.
