About our Hawaiian shirts
A Hawaiian shirt is a relaxed, short-sleeve button-up, usually with a camp collar that lies open at the neck. Ours are generally made from a light polyester that feels airy in the heat and resists heavy creasing. Many have a straight hem, so they look right worn untucked.
How is the print done?
These shirts are printed after you order, normally with dye-sublimation. Heat transfers the full pattern into the polyester, so it reaches from collar to hem and across both sleeves. You won't feel a print layer on the surface, because the color is bonded to the fibers. Around buttons, pockets and seams, the pattern may not match up perfectly.
How should it fit?
Most people wear a Hawaiian shirt a little loose for airflow. Button up a shirt you like, lay it flat, and measure chest width and length; then compare with our Fit & Sizing page. If you land between sizes and want that classic easygoing drape, the larger one usually works better.
Care tips
- Machine wash cold with like colors.
- Dry it on a hanger; most creases drop out on their own.
- If you do iron, keep the setting low.
